Salty Cave at the Karlova Studánka Spa
The salty cave offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing experience in a salty air climate, which mimics the salty air of seaside locales.
Inside the salty cave there are about 25 tons of salt that have been imported from the Himalayas. The walls are built of salt crystals.
The health benefits of salt crystals
Almost two tons of salt from the Polish salt mine, Klodawa, is placed on the floor of this salty cave. The nearly bacteria-free air is filled with negative ions and is high in micro-elements. The air is of the perfect humidity and the temperature is ideal. These conditions, plus the quality of the air, have a curing effect.
Fountains on the walls spray water enhanced with salt from the Dead Sea and bromine-iodine salt from Poland.
Who is this treatment for?
The treatments are recommended for children and adults with chronic colds, sore throats, bronchitis, allergies, or asthma. Positive effects are also reported from people who have high blood pressure or heart diseases. The treatments also are recommended for those with digestive problems.
